Inductive Learning Approach to Intelligent Patient Image Pre-fetching: Extension and Evaluation of CN2 Algorithm

چکیده
When performing primary reading on a newly taken radiographic examination, a radiologist often needs to reference relevant prior images of the same patient for confirmation or comparison purposes. To effectively support such prior image references, we proposed an intelligent patient image retrieval system, which includes a learning sub-system for inducing patient image retrieval knowledge, based on radiologists’ image reference behaviors. In this study, we extended CN2, a decision rule-based induction technique, to address challenging characteristics unique to our application, including missing/noisy data and multiple decision outcomes. Our experimental results showed that the overall learning performance of the proposed CN2-MD algorithm was satisfactory, exhibiting desirable noise tolerance, immunity to missing data, and robustness with limited

Incremental learning based on non-incremental in- duction algorithm
The machine learning algorithms can be divided into two general types: non-incremental that processes all training examples at once and incremental that handles examples one by one. This paper describes the multi-layer incremental inference algorithm (MLII) [1] based on the non-incremental inductive inference algorithm CN2 [2]. In original, the MLII algorithm used linked with the non-incrementa...

Nowadays, outsourcing is viewed as a trade strategy and organizations tend to adopt new strategies to achieve competitive advantages in the current world of business. focusing on main copmpetencies, and transferring most of activities to outside resources of organization( outsourcing) is one such strategy is. In this paper, we aim to decide on decision maker agent of transportation system, by a...
متن کاملA New Intelligent Approach to Patient-cooperative Control of Rehabilitation Robots
This paper presents a new intelligent method to control rehabilitation robots by mainly considering reactions of patient instead of doing a repetitive preprogrammed movement. It generates a general reference trajectory based on different reactions of patient during therapy. Three main reactions has been identified and included in reference trajectory: small variations, force shocks in a single ...

متن کاملComparison of Various Routines for Unknown Attribute Value Processing The Covering Paradigm
Simple inductive learning algorithms assume that all attribute values are available. The well-known Quinlan's paper [Qui89] discusses quite a few routines for processing of unknown attribute values in the TDIDT family and analyzes seven of them. This paper introduces five routines for processing of unknown attribute values that have been designed for the CN4 learning algorithm, a large extensio...
